Enjoy a short documentary, “Power for Pollinators,” highlighting what power companies are doing to support pollinator habitat. Troy Weary, Regional Manager of ITC Midwest in Cedar Rapids, will talk about the company’s local habitat project and Bur Oak Executive Director Jason Taylor will give an update on how the land trust protects native biodiversity in Iowa.
Doors are at 6 p.m. and the screening begins at 6:30 p.m. The event is free but space is limited. Registration is required.
Grab a beer on the house! The first 30 people (21+) to register will get a free drink token at the door.

Teen Yoga and Art | June 23 | 11:30 AM – 1 PM | Heartland Yoga
Join Kimberly in a 75-minute class to explore Yoga and Art in relationship to the elements; earth, water, fire, air/ether. The class will begin with an introduction to a Yoga posture practice, including mantras and mudras. We will move in a contemplative form, a moving meditation, and conclude with journaling self reflection. Bring a mat, water bottle, journal and open mind. Ages 13+
Basic Yoga Class | June 25 | 4-5 PM | Downward Dog Yoga
Kelli is teaching a basic yoga class with emphasis on breath with movement, all levels welcome. Vaccinations required for attending in person classes.
A portion of the proceeds from each class will support Bur Oak’s habitat restoration projects.
