Join the Bur Oak Board!

Make a lasting impact on native plants and wildlife in eastern Iowa by serving on the Bur Oak Board of Directors.

As a board member, you will play a vital role in financial oversight, supporting the organization’s mission and fostering community engagement. Whether you bring expertise in environmental conservation, fundraising or nonprofit governance, when you join the Bur Oak Board, your skills and commitment can make meaningful change for our local outdoors.

Serving on the board also provides a chance to collaborate with a dedicated team of conservation advocates and professionals. You will serve with like-minded individuals who share a commitment to land preservation, sustainability, and education.

Board members serve on committees that meet monthly, and participate in full board meetings every other month. Terms are 3 years with the possibility of serving 2 consecutive terms.
